Re the last one:

Harmston's attorney, Kevin Bond, had argued that the promises were rooted in church doctrine, not a business contract that never was drafted. He said the promises were to be fulfilled by God, not Harmston.

I so want them to name God as a co-defendant.

Not really. The IRA does the same. It's only polite, after all, to warn people if you're going to blow their buildings up. Plus, nobody will believe you actually did it without evidence that you knew beforehand.

That doesn't make it any more *normal* in the last, say, 5 years.

It's a great aid to those portraying themselves as noble, forced to work for justice outside the system - they harm only the tools of their oppressors, not the the innocents who are pawns.

It's bullshit, of course, but it's *resonant* bullshit.
