BMEZine forced to relocate their operations to Canada or shut down. Given precedent, editor Shannon Larratt faces life in prison if he ever sets foot in the USA again - and for what? Because he runs a website where consenting adults can upload pictures of their tattoos and piercings.

BMEZine's original statement now reads:

Fuck the long and dirty arm of the DoJ and DHS.

The crazy thing about these laws is that even though I am a Canadian, don’t live in the United States, and the site is published outside the US and served out of Canada, I could still be arrested if I ever set foot in the United States

Insanity.

I mean, shouldn't governments have at least some sort of surface respect for the rule of law?

More and more I'm glad I live where I do.
