I'm on vacation for the next week and a bit.

I'm going to spend most, if not all, of that time relaxing in air conditioning, drinking beer, and doing *nothing* in my pool.

At some point during the week I want to do Beer+Pretzels AD&D. All comers welcome, there are pregens for everybody, there's an old-school module that I picked up for cheap when I was 10 and I'm damn well going to run it once in my life. It will be fun. Trust me. There are orcs. Orcs are bad people, you can tell because they're green.

At some point during the week I will be having a Nonspecific Movie Night With A Theme To Be Determined Later, on the big screen TV with the groundshaking speakers.

At some point during the week there will be a game of Monkeywrench. Or Metal Opera. Or both. Or both, at once.

Oh, yes.

It will be good. Give me a call, let's hang out on my week off. If you're not local to me, well, that's a problem and you suck, but if you make a road trip in, all good.

This was pointed out to me by the girrul. Now, I feel like the heel of heels because we never did all that much in the way of housewarming (other than that one time when I was unusually ill but entertained some folk with the Roadkill radio station), but, uhh... too much rambling.

I have the week after next off. I intended to do NOTHING with it. I'm up for pretty much anything, as long as there's some ludicrousness involved. Count me in.

I hate D20, because it's a wargame that people keep trying to use as a roleplaying game and it REALLY SUCKS AT IT. It makes a perfectly acceptable wargame, or Beer + Pretzels game.

And this isn't D20. I hate AD&D much less than I hate D20, because AD&D acknowledged that your character sheet wasn't everything, that not all creatures in the world operated by identical mechanics, and because it's a perfectly good beer and pretzels game that never claimed to be anything different.

I'm going to be late with /R.S.I./ strips, I just know it.

Anyway. I'm in for beer and pretzels. Am in for movie night if it isn't a horrible theme (Vincent Price! Make it Vincent Price!). And the pool is good.

Beer and Pretzels D&D has been postponed indefinitely due to lack of interest.

Doing Nothing In My Pool is an ongoing effort that can always use more helpers.
