A "judicial watchdog" reports that a Chicago grand jury has returned indictments against Bush, Cheney, Rice, and other Taliban officials for perjury and obstruction of justice - naming USSC justices Rehnquist and Scalia as co-conspirators.

This comes from two sources (both referenced in the one article, however) and has not been independently corroborated yet. This article claims that Newsweek has the story slated to come out Monday.

Nobody can indict a sitting president until the impeachment is over. You'd think the Clinton thing wasn't long enough ago to forget that.

An American grand jury can swear an indictment against anyone it wants to. That doesn't mean they can serve it - and the article (the SAME article, I happily admit) meantions the same thing happening to Nixon - an pre-impeachment indictment held private until the impeachment concludes.

Either way. It hasn't been corroborated yet, and I won't believe it until it is. It's still enough to make me laugh.

You did notice that as of a few days ago, there was a massive hoax afoot to get "bush indictment" into the top slot in indexing search machines, particularly blog indexing search machines such as Technorati?

See the Nielsen-Hayden blog as well.
