Boston's famous mated-pair swan couple, Rome and Juliet, are actually Juliet and Juliet. This is the USA, so yes, there ARE people who are insisting that this means the swans should be broken up, paired with males, killed, or all of the above. Says Brian Camenker, director of the "Article 8 Alliance", an organisation devoted to the support of hate crimes against gays: "I think this proves that there's something in the environment in Massachusetts, maybe it's the water that's causing all this lunacy."
