I get the joke, but I also find it funny that you can spend a mana to remove yourself from the game.

well, it's probably what the card was intented to be but the activation cost is supposed to be before a ":"

No, I didn't mean that. You spend a black mana to remove all psycho christian players from the game. The card is a summon Psycho Christian. Therefore, if you use the ability, you are removed from the game, since you're playing a card that's a Psycho Christian.

what i'm sayign is that there's a typo cause the creature has an ability, but the one black that you would think is the activation cost for the ability is NOT before a colon, so technically, it's not the activation cost of the ability. which means you get one black for sacrificing all the psycho christians... i kind of liek that version better myself .)

Actually, it doesn't mean anything since the templating for magic cards doesn't use the format shown in any fashion, ever. Probably to avoid such pitfalls when a colon falls off the printer.

No program, just the way the design team talks about these things, inasmuch as they represent to the outside world. Dave DeLaney over on rec.games.trading-cards.magic.rules & co is, of old, the WotC internet customer rep you can ask about these things. But especially with current Oracle wordings (see the Gatherer), WotC has been trying their best to make card wording templates as unambiguous and consistent as possible. Being written the same as cost:effect except for the : is, well, not unambiguous. If they'd meant that, as an activated effect you get both a mana and leave the game, it'd be written as "0: Add B to you mana pool and Velocirapture removes all [Christians] from the game", or possibly with a semicolon or comma instead of the 'and'.

Yeah, the last part woudl have been the proper way to write it, but for the original affect ot be correct, it should have been "B: remove all psyhcho cristians from the game"
