He came up a lot when discussing somebody to replace O'Connor the first time. I don't recall him being seriously considered.

It can't possibly happen. Roberts will likely get in, and then Bush will pick some vanilla middle-roader because it will no longer matter. The only bad thing is Roberts' age. He'll probably be Supreme Justice after I'm dead. Does anybody else think he looks like the guys they always get to play the Antichrist in shitty movies?

Also, Cal Thomas doesn't think Gonzales will get the nod. I have to agree. Bush/the Senate/this fucking country can't handle two Supreme Court nomination battles inside of one six month period.
