I have to go with rimrunner on this one (Master Ree and Master Lee trained together, Lee brought TKD and every other Asian art into the 19th century by teaching them how to use the punch (which he learned from western prize fighters) and Master Lee taught him kicking (Chinese martial styles tend to keep kicks waist level or lower and only use one at a time, Japanese use high kicks but again, singly. TKD uses multiple kicks from knee to head level). No one can match Master Lee when it comes to the punch. He was so fast that even on film you couldn't capture him with the standard 24 FPS of motion picture cameras, and he could move a 200lb man several feet with a punch from a mere 6". The man was worthy of every bit of praise heaped upon him.
