Is that a south american Ornate Horned Toad? If so, that's a brave kid. One of my friends from high school had one as a pet for a few years. One that size could eat that kid's arm.

I don't know. The problem with a lot of pictures on the internet is threefold:

1: The world is a weird place.
2: Photoshop is a great program.
3: It's often impossible to determine the original source of a picture.
