British people may soon be able to board ships anchored off the coast to obtain fertility treatment forbidden in the UK, such as anonymous donor sperm. This brings an entirely new meaning to "Heave to and prepare to be boarded!"

They already do offshore abortions. I guess the benefit of living on an island is if you don't like the law, just sail a few miles to international waters.

Yeah, those were (IIRC) pioneered by a few Dutch doctors -- essentially they converted two shipping containers into a mobile abortion hospital, which made them pretty flexible compared to being built into a boat.
