Greatest idea for a book ever: The Straight Girl's Guide to Sleeping With Chicks

Greatest idea for a computer ever:

Greatest reaction by a Fortune 500 company to their design software being hacked, ever: Approval of the improvements made! (The program itself can be gotten here)

Greatest description of a robot's size, ever: "about 200 hundred of them could line up and do the conga across a plain M&M."

Greatest just kind of thing, ever:

The Lego Company has been remarkably good to the adult fans. Both in terms of actually, like, listening to what they want most (Which is why there are now bulk bricks available as well as classic lego models 'reprinted', as it were), and in terms of sponsoring the really cool stuff, and in terms of simply endorsing the cool stuff.

The only example I can think of of TLC being a typical repressive megacorp (ie, pulling a Disney) was when that Polish artist manufactured the Auschwitz sets. And even there it wasn't that he made concentration camps, complete with 'showers'and incinerators, out of lego bricks (although that was not their favourite thing ever), but they had a problem with him actually making forged set boxes that looked so much like real lego boxes that several news outlets got confused.

And even in that case they didn't take legal action, in the end, AFAIK.

Also: OMG, they quoted Larry!

Yeah, those bastards. Objecting to a guy producing things with their name on it that confuse people into really thinking they're making holocaust playsets for children? That TOTALLY makes them just like Disney.

Well, no. And that wasn't what I was trying to say, although it may have come across like that.

I didn't think you were really saying that. I just thought it was funny.

It's the kind of comment I really oughta tag with a "and information wants to be freeeeeeeee!" ending.

That would explain a lot. When you channel RMS (a kitten dies), the total lack of perspective and lumping everything together in black and white makes a lot of sense.

And I wasn't really sure if you thought I was saying that or being funny, so I figured I'd just say it just in case.
