That's funny as hell, but I think she missed the other important piece of advice: "stop being a nosey bitch. That wasn't your letter, you self-important twat. Go read your own stupid mail. "

Sadly, not all advice columnists are Dan Savage.

Didn't you get the memo?

Children have no right of privacy ... and, according to the current administration, neither do we.

I'd say it depends on the level of the relationship. Besides, if you don't want something found by your godmother, leaving it at her house is probably not your best course of action.

I just want to reiterate that it's her house. I'm of the opinion that she can do whatever the fuck she wants with a letter she finds there. I'm willing to bet her godson's name isn't on the lease.

Yup, she can.

That doesn't mean she's not a nosy bitch, but she does have a right to snoop and interfere.

Snoop and interfere? She was cleaning up a room where she had somebody as a guest. As far as "snooping" goes, no, I don't think so. And as far as "interfering," well, isn't that why she wrote the letter? And the reply she got should suitably countermand any later urges to interfere that she may have.

Lastly, some people still take being a godparent very seriously.
