At our local zoo, there was some sort of kerfuffle a couple of years back when the new African exhibit turned out not to be as secure as they thought it was. I can't remember the details now, but something prey-like got into the lion area - and didn't get back out again. Best day of those lions' entire lives, I bet.

I'm not entirely sure what's so sick about alligators eating a bunny. I mean, sure, the kids were being assholes, but it's not so sickening and shocking as all that.

It's not "alligator eating a bunny" that's sick.

It's "kids taking an animal from the petting zoo, where it has been conditioned to accept human contact as normal and where it has no ability or reason to fear predators, and throwing it into the alligator tank."

Also, I'm pretty sure telling the thug how much every part of you loves him isn't the right way to defuse the situation.

...well, it's certainly non-threatening, and pretty non-challenging... At that point, I for one would not cut the guy up. I mean, can you imagine the trauma if he was *right?* Horror movies have been made off less.

(I had a copy of the book for a while. I'm guessing they simplified it for the comic. Marvel-style, like.)

I want a landshark vehicle. The kids at the high school would love that.
I would have a whole new respect.

Don't buy it though; the author is a raving religious asshole who makes up a new "prophecy" whenever he visits a bathroom. He really shouldn't be getting any more money.

Oh, and why read the book when you can read the review of the movie, starring Pat Boone!

Wait. "Historic Fort Whatsit" and which gutted the 50-year-old replica of the fort where Meriwether Lewis and William Clark camped in 1805 after their famed expedition finally reached the Pacific Ocean.? So built in the 1950s. I'm failing to see the problem, or for that matter the 'historic'. it's more of a themepark exhibit when you put it like that.
