What's wrong with this picture?

Senator Kay Hutchison, (R-Texas) 1999: "What would we be telling Americans," Hutchison asked, "if the Senate of the United States were to conclude: The president lied under oath as an element of a scheme to obstruct the due process of law, but we chose to look the other way. I cannot make that choice. I cannot look away."

Senator Kay Hutchison, (R-Texas) 2005: The senator decried the tendency of prosecutors and district attorneys to "go for technicalities, sort of a gotcha mentality in this country." If Fitzgerald does return indictments, she hoped that they would involve a crime and not some "perjury technicality where they couldn't indict on a crime."

Once again, the Republican credo is made clear: Rules should not apply to Republicans, and "ethics" and "honesty" are dirty words.

How many people are introverts? I performed exhaustive research on this question, in the form of a quick Google search. The answer: About 25 percent. Or: Just under half. Or—my favorite—"a minority in the regular population but a majority in the gifted population."

This may be one of my new favorite quotes.

*headdesk* *headdesk* *headdesk* That law was written for when there was whinings to return to the "holy" (read: Arabic) alphabet, if I recall correctly. Idiots, literally using the letter of the law instead of the spirit. *headdesk*
