Date: 2005-10-28 08:58 pm (UTC)I don't care that he resigned, or didn't resign, or painted himself purple and danced the hunka chunka on the white house lawn. I care that he's facing criminal charges.

Date: 2005-10-28 09:03 pm (UTC)I find it strange that you're okay with somebody being indicted continuing to serve in the capacity in which they broke the law. It seems, somehow, relevant to me.
Naturally we care that he's facing criminal charges. He broke the law egregiously. But it's nice to know that he's not sticking around to get paid to fuck this country in the ass, unlike Bob Taft, who is continuing to get paid to fuck the state of Ohio in the ass.

Date: 2005-10-28 09:24 pm (UTC)Since he DOESN'T make any real decisions, I'd actually rather he kept his job while he got convicted of perjury, because that makes it all the more likely that they *actual* problem children would get tossed out.
If Scooter was Shrub, then I'd care about his resignation.
