Making modern absinthe.

Which you will need if you want to read Left Behind without slacktivist's snarky play-by-play.
Rayford doesn't disagree with Chloe -- he never argues that God is not a "sick, sadistic dictator," or that God is not "spiteful, hateful, mean." He simply points out that the spiteful cosmic dictator has whisked his wife and son off to heaven, and that if he ever hopes to see them again some day he'll have to play by the Great Dictator's rules.

I read it without the slacktivist commentary. I had to use my own, sadly inferior, snark to survive the experience.

By the long, fluffy tail of Ratatosk, that book was bad. I still can't wait for Fred to reach the bit where the Antichrist delivers his stirring speech that all but hands him the key to the UN. A speech that consists of listing all the nations in the UN. Christ alive, man, even Saddam Hussein had better speeches than that.
