Movies you must see:

"Wasabi". It's in French, deal with it. It's got dubbing and subtitles, if you like that kind of thing. It's a Luc Besson comedy about a hard-boiled ex-commando cop who is required by his boss to go on vacation, so goes to Japan for the funeral of the love of his life who's been missing for 20 years but who left him everything in her will. It features such wondrous moments as Jean Reno being emotionally blackmailed into playing Dance Dance Revolution.

You must see this film.

i actually had this on my list of movies to rent.. it basically looked liek "The Professional II."

I agree, Wasabi was awesome.
Besides Jean Reno being a badass and Jean-Luc Besson's solid direction, it helps that Ryoko Hirosue gives me a heart attack.

Oh, I'm a friend of JL's. Cowriter for Grey, if you care.
I'm just trolling his friends list to pass time, so feel free to ignore me if you wish.

I know who you are, I read his journal and you show up in the comments. No worries, regardless - I'm used to weird visitors, and, besides, I show up in a lot of weird places that way.

Which one?
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0316732/ (which isn't out yet)
or
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0152930/
which I haven't seen?

Queen Latifah?

The real one. Luc Besson (really, instead of as "this screenplay was inspired by a screenplay by") and french and subtitles.

Yep. Definitely the one you haven't seen. It's actually a fun movie, in a kind of very French Louis-de-Funes way. Around here though the DVDs are nearly free, I wouldn't go paying full price for it, necessarily.
