I'm a rabid metalhead. Blind Guardian are old favourites of mine - especially since they apparently have so much FUN with it and aren't afraid to make fun of themselves.

The above discussion about metal brings to mind about two weeks ago, listening to the CBC Radio 1 (canadian public radio, for you non-canuks), when they played Motorhead on As It Happens.

The two middle aged women hosting took a little while to recover from it.

Lady 1: "For our listeners just tuning in, you ARE listening to the CBC."

Lady 2: "What?"

Lady 1: "But yes, that was Motorhead, and I suppose they were singing Ace of Spades."

Lady 2: "What?"

Lady 1: "And now we'll break for the news."

Lady 2: "What?"
