Election most likely to happen mid-January.
Great news: I can now muckrake locally, since the parties are all going to actually have to reveal *details* of their platforms and not just coast on "general goals".
Unless the CPC has a sudden and completely uncharacteristic turn towards sanity, the incumbent government returning is the best of all possible options. Sad, that.
(Also, for you Americans, watch carefully. THIS is how you run an election. 36-day minimum, but more than 8 weeks of campaigning is completely unheard of. There's none of this "we're going to have to vote in a year and a half, better start campaigning now" bullshit here.)
