Funniest argument against evolution EVER:

"One of the most basic laws in the universe is the Second Law of Thermodynamics. This states that as time goes by, entropy in an environment will increase. Evolution argues differently against a law that is accepted EVERYWHERE BY EVERYONE. Evolution says that we started out simple, and over time became more complex. That just isn't possible: UNLESS there is a giant outside source of energy supplying the Earth with huge amounts of energy. If there were such a source, scientists would certainly know about it."

I myself have never seen this huge energy source that bonbards the earth constantly with huge ammounts of energy.

But then again, I live in Ohio. I hear that people south of here occasionally see a mysterious ball of light in the sky.

Me either. But it's well known that the constant rain in the Pacific Northwest has caused all of us to evolve webbed feet!

Isn't is great when stupid people consider the planet to be a closed system? Too bad they'll be dead when the last of the atmosphere finally dissipates and the planet becomes a cold dead rock in space. Assuming the external source of constant energy doesn't go supernova and turn the whole place to plasma first.

What's killing me is the fact that it isn't even internally consistent. It's saying evolution contradicts the fact that entropy is constantly increasing by stating that we are becoming more and more complex.

I don't think that word means what they think it means.

Why, yes. Yes, they would.

...

The sad thing is, I'm actually willing to believeit's not a prank...

*choke*

Right.

The one right below it, where they wonder why no one's compared simian and human DNA also makes me pause.

What with reading all the new studies being done on it, trying to check the results of past comparative analyses.

I expect that this one is, in fact, satire meant to mock the standard thermodynamics misunderstandings.

But it's totally awesome.

After all the "that has *got* to be a brilliant troll" comments, at the bottom of the first page of comments that you linked to, someone says "no, sadly he's serious, and quotes the guy's argument about why the Sun doesn't count. (Actually, the commenter quoted the guy quoting a "Christian answers" site.)

Reading two paragraphs into that made me do something I never have done before: I actually clawed my monitor glass, hoping it would scratch away.

Not reading any more.

*goes away shuddering*.
