Air raid siren goes off at 1AM in New York - takes 40 minutes before anyone figures out how to turn it off.

Also,

Fake pigs arrested while trying to corner the market on bacon.

Also,
Walgreens puts four pharmacists from Illinois on "unpaid leave" for illegally refusing to fill prescriptions.

Obviously, our only recourse is cannibalism. (Smoke or sugar cured? Hmm...)

That reminds me of what a highschool teacher quoted us as the price for him to be bribed for a higher mark. I can't remember the exact number, but it was the sum total of his remaining pay until retirement, plus his pension until he would be likely to die.
