Bad: 17-year-old girl is gang-raped by three adult men. At the urging of her mother and her friends, she files a police report and tries to press charges.

Worse: A judge determines that there isn't sufficient evidence to prosecute on charges of rape - and immediately turns around and declares that the witnesses who aren't credible enough to convict the men on rape charges ARE credible on the behaviour of the girl, and nails her with a "filing a false report" charge.

Worst: This isn't the first time it's happened in that city, with that judge.

Sick is right. Some people should never become judges...this both weakens my resolve to go into a law career, because then I'd have to deal with these assholes, and strengthens in, because then I can maybe be in a position to undo these wrongs.

How, exactly, are rape survivor "supposed" to act? I don't think I acted traumatized after mine...I was too fucking pissed off and scared to exhibit ANY emotion.

The women I counseled later? Including Alex's friend, who was just five at the time of her rape? The behaviors ran from terrified to suicidal to HOMOCIDAL. There is no one correct way for a rape survivor to act.

What fucking planet is that scumbag "judge" from, and can we send him back?
