I submit that the monster is not made out of Lego, any more than a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle figurine is.

The damn thing comes in a box, pre-shipped, with parts designed to make this specific thing and nothing else. And while the parts are joined together in true Lego fashion, it's just the same as if it had come in one piece.

Make it out of real frigging Lego, and I'll be impressed.

I did show you the Lego Cthulhu, right?

Somebody took the Lego squid-figurine and altered it to work as a head-piece.

That is largely my problem with soem of the new lego pieces... they are pre-fabed to make one thing... it sort of destroys some of the cretivity of old school lego.. heck, i remember thinking how cool it was when i first saw flat pices with triangular shapes to use as wings...
