That "hampster" is a Chinchilla. About 5-10x the size of a hampster. More like an insane, soft furred version of a gerbil, really. My grandfather used to breed them for the fur, years ago.
The near-shapeless masses of teeth, cheeks, etc is the natural state of hampsters, for some reason.
