Intelligent Innsmouth Design: the belief that Intelligent Design holds together *perfectly* if humans are not the end product, but instead are the means by which the designers intend to give the TRUE masters of the planet a little more of their chosen real estate to work with.

(sclerotic_rings adds 'Suddenly, this explains so much, starting with far too many of my former neighbors in Lewisville, Texas taking their gill slits and extra fingers as signs of "divine design" instead of "potentially terminal inbreeding"...')
