I drive that stretch of road frequently, the reason for the accident may have been brakes but if the damned school busses wouldn't stop in the middle of a major throughfare and turn onto a side street like they should it wouldn't have happened!!! That is a major truck route, there are little to no stop lights but plenty of side streets for busses to pull off on to pick up or drop off children. There is one particular area where you go from 65 to 20 with little warning and only some old guy standing there with a stop sign. That is all the protection the children have to cross a highway. There have been repeated request for either more stop lights or for proper areas for busses to stop at but the cities think it would be too expensive. I just wonder how many more children will have to die before they can fit it into the buget.
