I was in my second and final year at John Abbott in Montreal. It was pretty wild, seeing it on a big screen TV that happened to be up in the Agora...

I was a junior in high school, watching on live satellite feed because one of our teachers had been an alternate.

It still feels like I got kicked in the gut.

I was, er, in late elementary I believe, like 5th grade or thereabouts. We always were herded into the center of our "pods" to watch space shuttle launches, and this was no different.

The thing I still remember about the launch is everyone cheering at that moment, because we were used to seeing a lot of smoke and such whenever the shuttle and its rockets separated, and we weren't old enough to realize this was different. And one of the teachers hushing us after a few seconds and saying that something was wrong...
