That one's in my neck of the woods.

They're fixing to knock down the chimneys in order to rebuild them (the curent versions are dangerously decrepit), and then they're gonna make the place look like this as part of e "regeneration" scheme...

and while I'm at it...
this is even more in my neck of the woods. Just up the road in fact.
Here's the picture I took of it last June...


Since my photos (and the ones on the derelict london site) were taken, the building has been shrouded in scaffolding as a developer converts the old poorhouse into luxury flats. They've removed the turret/ we'll see if they restopre that part. It's a listed building, but we'll see.

"listed" means that if you're a member of the public, you can hardly throw a new coat of paint on the thing, but if you're a big developer you can knock the whole thing down with impunity.

So does Monument status on my side of the Channel, for that matter.
