They're playing, but when the players are a mature male antelope and a one ton hippo, play could get serious... That hippo seems small and the lack of teeth worrisome but as for the scratches, they're less than inconsequential. I'm not familiar enough with hippos to know whether the nyala is running the risk of getting his neck or a leg snapped. Maybe as long as the hippo's tusks are short/nonexistent he'll be ok. One can hope.
