I did notice it was a church, actually, it was the cross that tipped me off. :)
But I'm thinking maybe it'a a Mormon temple, even though they don't usually use the cross in their symbology... who else would put a statue like that in front of a church?

More Google digging found the name of the church: "Hallgrímskirkja." It's Lutheran, named for an Icelandic Lutheran priest, and is in Reykjavík, Iceland. No idea why the bell tower is so phallic. The statue is of Leif Erikkson, who found North America before Columbus, and is a gift to Iceland from the US. Nevermind that Leif looks like something the Russians would have commissioned.
