I have finally found a working internet connection from the land of ümläüts.

Naturally, it is not talking to my laptop. I shall endeavour to make them talk tomorrow. Right now, I will simply update from a borrowed machine and say bah in their general direction.

I have snarkiness and commentary and OH GOD SO MANY PICTURES. Updates coming as soon as my laptop stops being stupid, or their network stops being stupid, or both.

Why are all the keys in the wrong places - and what did the question mark do to be so thoroughly removed from the keyboard.

My inability to read German has not hampered my ability to use the sytem. Apparently, memorising WHERE the buttons are hath its privileges.

It's not quite as bad on a UK keyboard, but it does take some getting used to. At least they still have the question mark here, but the switch between the @ symbol and the " screws me up all the time. Glad to hear you're still alive, anyway.

Yeah, that weird placing of the " on American keyboards gets me every time. And there's no ÆØÅ.

I had the "fun" of trying to use a French AZERTY keyboard last night (housemate's laptop). WTF?

Try using a UK keyboard, but on a PC that only has US settings installed. that was hard work. I find the reverse switch to the @ being over the 2 much harder, makes no sense to be there.

Belgian keyboards are the worst though.
