Sometimes the idiots shoot themselves in the foot...

... and sometimes the smart ones STAB IDIOTS IN THE HEAD.

(Those articles are, respectively: "Canadian PM grabs his own party even harder by the testicles to try to keep them from saying MORE stupid things", and "Canadian Senator asks busybody American family if maybe they shouldn't be more worried about their own torture and murder of PEOPLE than Canadians hunting SEALS.")

A new mandate has been issued, and we're not longer to release anything to the public until it has been cleared by the Prime Minister's Office

No. But there ARE multiple amusing accounts about Canadian Regular Force Infantry soldiers doing bad things to US 'special forces' units during joint training exercises.

Nope. I heard said stories from Infantry Recce and Sniper instructors, who head down to the US and play games with the US Army Rangers, SEALs, and my friend in JTF2 has some amusing stories about doing things with (and to) 1st SFOD-D (Delta Force).

Looks like Harper is taking a page from the Bush administration's playbook. Not wholly unexpected, that. Here's hoping the Canadian press has more balls than the American media and won't stand for it.

From the second article:
Opposition Leader Bill Graham issued a statement on Friday saying those words "reflect her personal opinions and not those of the Liberal Party of Canada."
...but only because they can't actually get away with saying it.
