I was sick to my stomach for weeks after visiting Dachau - the second KZ I visited (the first was Buchenwald, which my Opa had helped liberate in April of '45).

It didn't get any better after visiting Oświęcim a few months later.

It still hurts. It was very jarring to see this again. But I'm glad you're sharing it.

My visit to Birkenau and Aushwitz in Poland was one of, if not the the most sobering and difficult place I'd ever been.
