It'd probably criminal negligence, or possibly some type of manslaughter, although the second one is more common for things like accidents. Murder in the US requires some degree of intent and premeditation AFAIK.
I concur on the neglegent homicide. that is what it sounds like, since it was caused by a deriliction of rresponsibility, rather than direct action on her part that caused the death.
