I found this picture on the fuzzysquid.com recent LJ pictures thing.
It makes me miss Edinburgh and eating lunch on the grass right there. I have a pic I took of the benches somewhere in my collection. I've put this entry in my memories!
Yeah - Scotland has this excellent landscape which leads to having a number of castles on bloody great dramatic cliffy things. I live near this one (http://www.gutenberg.org/files/14415/14415-h/images/lg_151-1.jpg), in Stirling. Sorry the photo is a bit antiquated - it was the only one I could find which shows the cliffs off properly.
Yeah I recognized it immediately too. It's a spot you can never forget--the whole city is beautiful, all crumbly stone and medieval walls and a fantastic view of the sea. And for some reason in Britain the grass is really, really green.
