Some people have asked me what a Canadian Destroyer is.

It defies description.

THIS is a Canadian Destroyer.

*DAMN* that is one impressive stunt to pull off, night after night, without killing anyone.

Dancing about architecture.

*nods* I wouldn't say it defies description (something like "an overhead suplex hijacked by the target and turned into a piledriver"), but that doesn't give the full effect the way seeing it does.

Except that the guy in red is in control the whole time. It's not anything "turned into" something else, it's purely his move.

At least, that's the story and they're sticking to it. The term "somersault piledriver" really doesn't do it justice.

Oh, I can believe he's actually in control, but it looks, is probably supposed to look, like the guy in blue is actually going to suplex him.

The term "somersault piledriver" really doesn't do it justice.

No medium so awkward as language does it justice, but that term probably comes as close as mere words can.

I like to think of it as a Sunset Flip Piledriver.

It looks like definite neck compression there, but the trick might be to keep the knees bent, thus your thighs will put the brunt of the impact on hsi shoulders... all and all an incredible feat of precision acrobatics.

Looks like something Super Nova/Nova/Hollywood Nova (etc) would have come up with back in the heyday of ECW.

That one move helps move Team Canada from heel jobbers to the rank of potential up & comers. Not that they'll ever get to be more than a bunch of thugs for Jarrett...
