"isn't it grand"

no pun intended.

I've gotta swipe that icon, if you don't mind... it's one of the funniest I've ever seen. where'd you get it?

I dunno. I steal icons with no remorse. It's bad, I know, but this way, you can take and and be absolved of guilt.

I appologize on behalf of my state.

I sincerely hope that this will never fly, though. Columbus is too liberal and the voting base is too big coming out of it. I hope.

As the days go on, moving to Ottawa sounds more and more like a good idea.

I will never survive the winter though.

Dude, you live in Ohio. Your weather really isn't that much better. You just don't get the Ottawa-style one week a year of really fucking bitter cold.

You also don't get our wonderful summers, either, from what I hear, so it's a decent tradeoff.

Aside from family, the cold is one big thing that keeps me out of canada. I was not built to be an eskimo.

That and the quebequizx

Vancouver isn't that cold. It rarely drops below freezing.

The rain, however, is a different matter.

It's roughly comparable to where you are now. Maybe a bit more humid.

We have excellent stores for heavy-duty winter equipment, which not incidentally tend to be so well-crafted that you can use them throughout the cold weather for years (or hell, pretty much constantly for years--witness my boots, which are still going strong).

And non-criminalized abortions.

What more could you want?

Not really. Most are pretty good about taking care of their skin. Not to mention those of oriental blood tend to age very gracefully.

*CAN* they make it a crime to leave the state to have the procedure performed? Okay, they probably *can* make anything a crime, but I mean and actually have it hold up against the slightest challenge?

I mean, that's aside from the whole constututionality of making abortion a crime, when it's already been judged by the Supreme Court...
