Apr. 30th, 2006 10:20 amBush, on what FEMA is doing to become ready for this year's hurricane season:
"The lessons of Katrina are important,'' Bush said. "We've learned a lot here at the federal level. We're much more ready this time than we were the last time.''That's right. Step #1, the most important part of being ready for hurricane season after last year's record-shattering crop, wherein the incompetence, arrogance, and outright maliciousness evident at every level of the American government killed thousands of people, many of whom are still homeless as promised support has been funneled into the pockets of Cheney and his company and their stockholders - step #1 is to pray that there will be no hurricanes this year.
"Let's, first of all, pray there's no hurricanes,'' Bush said. "That would be, like, step one.''
