Bush, on what FEMA is doing to become ready for this year's hurricane season:
"The lessons of Katrina are important,'' Bush said. "We've learned a lot here at the federal level. We're much more ready this time than we were the last time.''

"Let's, first of all, pray there's no hurricanes,'' Bush said. "That would be, like, step one.''
That's right. Step #1, the most important part of being ready for hurricane season after last year's record-shattering crop, wherein the incompetence, arrogance, and outright maliciousness evident at every level of the American government killed thousands of people, many of whom are still homeless as promised support has been funneled into the pockets of Cheney and his company and their stockholders - step #1 is to pray that there will be no hurricanes this year.

If the good people of Louisiana, Alabama, and Mississippi really cared about being prepared for hurricanes, they'd go and do like Florida and elect themselves a Bush family member to rule them. The fact that they haven't is their own problem.

Honestly, if I lived in that area I'd be praying that there are no hurricanes. I'd also probably try praying that Bush and everyone on his side will sudenly vanish.

I wonder why anybody is surprised by this kind of thing any more. The man is a certifiable nutjob. His entire cabinet is a bunch of similar nutjobs. The neo-fascist zombie brigade has taken control of my country and there isn't a damn thing that can be done about it because the sheeple refuse to stand up and say "This is unacceptable."

The day that people stop voting for hate and start voting for good will be the day that I am surprised.

It works both ways
