A double-header this week.

First, one I promised [livejournal.com profile] flemco a few months ago and forgot:
Thou Shalt Not covering Front 242 - Headhunter (swing version)

Second, a much more interesting cover:
Guns & Roses covering Paul McCartney - Live And Let Die

Tomorrow: I've got live tickets to see Alice Cooper, but I'm discovering that I have no good Alice Cooper covers. No good covers BY Cooper, no good covers OF Cooper.

So I couldn't do a proper tribute here the night before.

I want you to fix this. Fetch for me the Alice Cooper covers!

(An MP3 of you personally singing Thrill My Gorilla does not count. It may, however, find itself featured here NEXT week should you send it to me.)

Krokus did a cover of "School's Out" that Cooper himself said he really liked...

There appears to be much Alice Cooper and very little Alice Cooper Doing Other People's Music, or Other People Doing Alice Cooper's Music.

My obnoxious neighbour with very poor taste was playing a pop version of Poison earlier, but I have no real inclination to find out which artist abominated it, you're better off not hearing it I think.

Have fun at gig.

Etta James does an amazing cover of Only Women Bleed. It's available on iTunes.

I've got that one. Two issues:

#1: It's live, with Alice Cooper, so it doesn't really count.
#2: It's a TERRIBLE version of the song.

Go here:

Covers by Alice Cooper, and covers of Alice Cooper songs, all in one page.

In general, http://coversproject.com is an interesting site.

Yes, but those don't appear to be MP3s.

Hearing that there's a Krokus cover of School's Out doesn't do me much good if I can't hear it.

Covers Project is a cross reference library.
If you know that a Krokus cover of School's Out exists, you can search for it. "Good luck, Jim."
