And by "terrists" we, in fact, mean "government whistleblowers who told the media about these manifestly and blatantly illegal surveillance programs".

I was already noticing the patterns in the comments even before I scrolled down to Dawn Howard's comment; I remember hearing about guys being hired to flood, say, gaming forums with favourable (but meaning-empty) comments about $VIDEO_GAME; I think unconsciously I'd put two and two together.
