US Constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage fails to make it through the Senate.

Snowe, Collins, McCain, Sununu, Chafee, Gregg and Specter broke ranks with the Bigot Party to vote for sanity.

Nelson and Byrd broke ranks with the Sane Party to vote as bigots.

Sam Brokeback (R-Kansas) said "We're making progress, and we're not going to stop until marriage between a man and a woman is protected," but declined to answer questions about how it was threatened, or what they were protecting it from.

Brokeback doesn't need to explain anything. I mean, anyone with less than two brain cells realizes that if we let same gender couples get married that the Earth will spin out of orbit and crash into the sun.

A bit inconvienent, but at least we wouldn't have to listen to Fred Phelps anymore...

His real name is "Brownback". Brokeback is just my way of expressing what I think his real problem is.

It's a diminuitive pet name, like using "Shrub" or "Dubya" for Bush, or calling that Pennsylvania guy "Santorum"

Gay marriage should be considered the same as divorce. Just because your church disagrees with it, doesn't mean it should be illegal. If you think same-sex marriages are wrong, don't have one!
