"5 days after katrina, I was trying to get out of New Orleans. I came across a girl who was also trying. She and her loving dog found some lost puppies and rescued them. The dog carrying them was about as happy to have them as anyone or anything possibly could. She kept going up to anyone she saw to get patted and then get the puppies patted. it was a bright and happy spot in the middle of a whole lot of pain and suffering. I've looked but have not found the dog or his owner since I came back." -

Date: 2006-06-16 05:22 pm (UTC)(I've heard the yoga = TEH DEMONZ thing before, and I don't really get it, but there's this line of thinking among certain kinds of Christians that seems to conclude this about any belief or practice which predates Christianity. All I know is that yoga provides a lot of relief after a very strenuous kung fu class—of course, these people also think that martial arts are demonic, dontcha know.)

Date: 2006-06-16 06:10 pm (UTC)They believe there really is a red guy in a cheap suit who wants to buy your soul.
They believe that people REALLY DO sell their souls for magic - the ability to cloud men's minds and to sour milk and put curses on people they don't like. They believe that Harry Potter and D&D REALLY DO teach actual, real magic that has real power.
They believe that any thinking that doesn't come from JEEZUS must be this magic that they believe in, and they believe that any denials or evidence to the contrary is manufactured by this very real devil to fool you into THINKING (again, the devil's work) that it's not real.
These people are irredeemable idiots.
