My cats love squirrels. And not in a "hey it's food" way, but in a "OMG a FUZZY THING that wants to PLAY WITH US can he come inside please please PLEASE?" way.
Squirrels make their day. The squirrels themselves are apparently used to neighbourhood cats and don't mind pressing themselves up against the windows to get a good look.
We had a cat a long time ago, when I was little, that just completely maimed the shit out of this bunny that happened along outside. Didn't kill it. Just played with. Quite cruel. We nursed the little guy back to health, but that cat... oh that cat... ... Wait, what DID happen to him? I don't know what happened to 'em. I can't imagine it was a positive fate. (No "chucked off a bridge" or "ripped it's tail out" type fate however, we weren't evil or anything. ;))
