"Despite his later claims to success, Franco Liao was far from the exemplar of virtue and goodness that would-be legendmakers might prefer. Like so many of his clan, Franco had a variety of quirks and habits, many of which were hard to deal with and some that were downright irritating. In particular, he fancied himself an accomplished musician, but to the great regret of all within hearing distance, his instrument of choice was the bagpipes. On more than one occasion during the Confederation's early days, visitors the the Chancellor's palace were greeted with the screechings of Liao at his finest, while many of the household staff could be seen conducting the business of the day, placidly, with cotton stuffed in their ears."

Indeed. Franco Liao nuking his own capital city to get rid of the invading Davions was another great moment.

Ah. I see you haven't figured out who I am, then.

Hint: I friended you because I knew the name from MMNet - the fact that you know Maggie et al is an amusing coincidence.

And before you ask, oddly enough I am *not* KingWeasel. That's just another Canadian who chose a similar name - it's a wacky coincidence.
