Superman Returns:
Jun. 29th, 2006 08:48 amIf you're a really really absolutely huge Superman fan who loves everything Superman and the concept of a new Superman movie made you dance with glee?
Then go see this movie.
Otherwise, save your money. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't good. And Parker Posey's presence, like always, drove the movie into "actively painful" territory every time she stepped onscreen.

I agree with you on Ryan Reynolds. For Totally Vampire Barbie, I just recall being vaguely disappointed that King's tossed-off line about dentata was tongue in cheek, since the second movie did some interesting things about vampire evolution and I was hoping to see them follow it up a little.
Also, the vampire Pomeranian deserved a much better movie.

Date: 2006-06-29 03:08 pm (UTC)I thought Parker Posey was quite good in it. The movie's a bit odd, but in a good way, despite being a Tori Spelling vehicle (although Posey gets top billing, thankfully).
