I get the impression the original ad was done by someone with a good grip of semiotics, a good grip on his genitals, and no hands left to get a grip on subtlety.
Not having a tv to watch I was only recently introduced to those commercials. And, as a devoted lifetime mac user, they piss me off. Whether you have superior technology or not, whether you have a shiny image or not, and hells even if too many of your customers are, that's no excuse for acting like a pompous prick. Great, now I get to deal with windows users thinking I'm an arrogant git in addition to whatever else they may think of me. Thanks a lot Apple.
After having used a Mac at length after ignoring them for about 10 years... I'm going Mac from now on. No more PC's for me, especially now that Mac's can run Windows.
