Also,
The Left Behind video game: Not only is it a violent power fantasy where you kill the unbelievers who wno't convert, but all the good guys are white, period.

Of course, one of the videogame's makers can't even get the name of the book of the Bible right.

Also,

Yeah, turning Bowie into Bishie didn't take a whole lot of work.

In the US study, 150 students who had recently developed colds were given echinacea or dummy pills - but were not told which group they were in.

From the previous literature I've read, the only times when echinacea has been shown to be even potentially effective is when you take it before the onset of symptoms.

How one knows one has a cold before symptoms develop remains an open question.

I suspect this "literature" is provided by the people who sell echinacea, because you'll need it ALL THE TIME!

But I am tinfoiling it today.

No, it's legit. Please do me the credit of being able to tell the difference between that and something that was funded by a manufacturer.

Also, [livejournal.com profile] waterspyder makes a good point. There's no standard that I know of for this stuff; sometimes it's the equivalent of going to buy pot and ending up with oregano.

That was meant to be a joke.
Hence "tinfoiling it".

I'm among those allergic to echinacea. I guess its in the same family as ragweed or something.

I had a Prof at University that was researching Echinacea, and the stuff he was growing had medicinal properties. He believes most echinacea in the stores is trash, and usually the wrong species.

It's pretty humorous to me when crypto-Millenialists can't spell "Nostradamus" and get "The Revelation to John" incorrect. ;)

Yeah, nobody ever uses the whole title, but they sure do pluralize it, don't they?

Holy shit, Clinton is espousing the "brain chip" myth? Isn't she, like, trying to be considered for the Presidency in 2008 or something? Have we just decided that only totally crazy or very very boring people need apply for that position?

Also: Per the Left Behind game article, finally we have a use for Jack Thompson.
