Somewhere in Pennsylvania, there is a coal mine that has been burning for over ten years. The fire is entirely underground. The town above the mine is almost entirely abandoned. There are a couple old timers that refuse to leave, regardless of the poor air quality and sporadic fires that break out on the surface. They interviewd one of these guys on the Daily Show a couple eyars ago. Quite odd stuff, really.
