Stem cells that can be used even by the Blastocyst Whiperers invented.

Also,
Immanuel Kant believes that no one should commit any action that they would not will everyone to commit, and that no action should be undertaken that uses a rational agent as a means to an end. Zombies are NOT rational agents. Presumably Kant will have no qualms with shooting zombies in the head. He will see it as an imperative to shoot zombies in the head. One would certainly will that all rational agents shoot zombies in the head to protect themselves and other rational agents from being devoured painfully and messily. This would align very well with one’s duty to rational agents.

(It goes on, with many philosophers. It is also awesome.)

Young people using Windows Live Messenger or MSN Messenger to chat online with friends can now make a report to police with one click if they are concerned their online 'buddy' is a sex offender.

I totally need to start using the default client instead of Trillian at work, now. [livejournal.com profile] mightycodking, you're gonna get your ass REPORTED for the kind of things you say.[1]

You know, I've seen that thing in three LJs today (and posted it in my own; is that where you saw it?), and it still gives me the collywobbles.

"Has anyone seen a liquid?"

Um, yeah. It's that pesky stage between a gas and a solid.

So I decided to try the Focus on Family thing. My kids are addicted to Narnia, and hey, even if it is slightly preachy, if it means a quieter road trip heck yeah. NM that my sister is a lesbian I fully support, I am pro choice, pro open divorce laws, etc. Oh, and practicing Pagan for the past decade or so.

J'onn J'onzz! Yay!

I'm not following the other stuff right now, as I'm on a laptop and hate the mousepad, but will look into the Narnia thing. Maybe. It seems like false pretences-ish.

IMDB is never a good place to go for news, but UPI (http://www.upi.com/NewsTrack/view.php?StoryID=20060823-125229-2968r)and Raw Story (http://rawstory.com/news/2006/Police_refute_rumour_of_snakes_bein_08232006.html) seem to agree.

Bah! Ruining a perfectly good story like that.

Just saw it and posted it, wasn't evaluating it for truthiness. In this case, however, it seems to have been correct.

Too bad the movie sucked in all the bad ways something can suck.

This is a really bad idea for any group of friends that likes to play pranks on each other. ("Ok, in two minutes, we all click on the button and say Frank is an offender...")
