Aug. 25th, 2006 03:37 pmMississippi Baptist church votes to exclude all blacks in response to a 10-year-old boy trying to join.
UPDATE: A new version of the story includes comments from the other church members, who claim that no such vote took place and that the pastor is just trying to harm the church by claiming that there was a vote.

Date: 2006-08-26 09:58 pm (UTC)The Latter Day Saints have, to put it simply, 3 testaments instead of 2. Their holy scriptures include texts not acknowledged by any other religious group, Christian or otherwise.
Christianity has two sets of holy scriptures, commonly referred ot as the Old Testament (which existed in Jewist scripture prior to Christianity) and the New Testament, written by and for Christians. The New Testament clearly states that all ethnic and linguistic groups are welcomed and encouraged to join the Christian church.
